How to set up Two-step verification on Bitbucket with TypingDNA Authenticator

1. Go to your Bitbucket dashboard and select Bitbucket settings by clicking your profile picture (located bottom left)

2. Go to the Security section within settings and hit Two-step verification

Note: Make sure you’ve set up SSH on your Bitbucket account. You won’t be able to enable two-factor authentication if no SSH key is configured.

3. Hit Add code manually* in your TypingDNA Authenticator extension

*Note: For some technical reason, “Grab QR” function doesn’t work in current version of the extension with Bitbucket platform

4. Copy the Key and paste it the extension’s field “Secret…”, optionally you can name the account “Bitbucket”

5. Hit Save in your TypingDNA extension

6. Click your newly added Bitbucket account in your TypingDNA Authenticator extension

Note: It should automatically paste your verification code. If for some reason it failed, just hit CTRL+V/ CMD +V or right click on your mouse and stick it where required.

7. Hit the Enable two-step verification button

8. Check your email you just received from Bitbucket and hit Enable two-step verification

Now you are all set. Enjoy!
